They did some radiographs and decided it would be best for him to stay the night, get a long catheter enema, some IV fluids, and a shot for the vomiting. I picked him up Tuesday morning feeling pitiful, but much better. He is on a laxative for the next few days and has an appointment Friday morning with his regular vet to make sure everything is ok. They also told me to add in some wet food to his normal diet to increase the fiber, hoping this will prevent future impactions. So far he's eating most of the wet food, which is good considering he is in no way food-driven. Other than the 2 inches of shaved leg (where the IV catheter was placed), he looks normal and seems to be doing well. Poor, poor little guy!
